March 13, 2008 My 22nd Birthday I am afraid I don't have much to say about what was probably one of the most anonymous days of the past year. Granted, it is not all doom-and-gloom as I am in a place like Laos, but even so I have never had it in me to go out of my way to make one day more "special" than another. Perhaps if the rest of the past year had been miserable I would feel more inclined to take advantage of today as "my day to shine," but the past year has been amazing and so today was just another day. Despite my obvious shunning of my own birthday, I very much appreciated all the birthday wishes from friends, families, and the occasional stalkers out there. Thank you for taking the time to write and wish me well; it certainly means a lot to me. |
