THE GREAT WALL

The seven hour hike along the Great Wall was far better than anything I had imagined. I was afraid I would be swamped by tourists and let down by a re-constructed wall that was surrounded by McDonalds and blaring horns. As these pictures should indicate, the segment from Jinshanling to Simatai was anything but that.
