This was a weekend outing where I went with a small group of friends to a city outside Shanghai to do some touristy stuff. We paddled in dragon boats, climbed a small mountain, walked through caves, rode ox-drawn carriages, and so on. By far the highlight was eating fried sparrow. It looked like they snapped the birds neck and then cooked it while it was still in a fetal position. I felt awful eating it so I sort of nibbled at its neck for five minutes.
