Mount Everest Photo Gallery

I spent a night at Everest Base Camp, which is about 5300 meters (3.3 miles) above sea level. I was huffing and puffing for the entire 8km walk to get there because the air was so light, but it was one of the best feelings on earth. Everest itself was unbelievable, and in the morning there was an unadulterated view of it in all its grandeur.

My lovable Tibetan driver

We broke down once an hour, and tried everything to fix the jeep

Lush greenery from Himalayan run-off
