GYANTSE

I will remember Gyantse for a few things: the amazing fort situated atop a high hill in the middle of town, the tallest Pagoda in Tibet, a broken bridge that gave me quite a detour, and getting attacked by a Tibetan dog.

Looking out from the tower of the fort at the surrounding fields

Posing in front of prayer flags

View of the valley with the monastery and pagoda on the right

The fort in all its majesty

Taxi rides

Tibetan barbeque

Broken bridge

Saved for my engineering studies

Wall around the monastery

Sewage in the streets

Fort from far

Close-up of the pagoda

Close up of some of the dogs that roam the monastery complex... they really do smell fear
