SERA MONASTERY

This monastery is famous for the high level of proficiency in Buddhist studies, and the debates that take place once a week in the courtyard. A senior monk will challenge his pupils in a shouting match that involves violent slapping motions and kicking of the rocks. It was a scene to witness.
